We're looking for an experienced AC & Refrigeration Technician to join our team in the Orlando area. This is a field-based role perfect for a skilled professional with a passion for safety, quality, and technical precision. You'll work on essential commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems for a variety of clients, including fast-food restaurants, in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, reach-ins, and AC units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to perform efficient, high-quality repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to maximize system performance and longevity.
- Keep detailed service records of diagnostics, parts, and future recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and building codes.
- Coordinate with other technicians and facility staff to minimize disruptions.
- Stay updated on evolving technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- EPA Section 608 Certification and a valid HVAC license.
- Proficient understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control mechanisms.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Availability for after-hours, weekend, and on-call rotation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Fluency in English.
- Technical degree or trade school certification in HVAC is required.
Schedule & Compensation
- Salary Range: $51,000 - $54,000
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week. This role includes early mornings, on-call nights, and weekends. Overtime is expected, and you'll receive double-time pay on holidays.
- Travel: Commuting between job sites is required. Gas expenses are covered.
