Summary:

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join our software

team. This unique role requires a designer who is adept at translating open-ended requirements and user

specifications into ethical and user-friendly AI-based solutions for virtual worlds, manufacturing processes, and

customer interactions. You will play a key role in all stages of the design process, from user research and ideation to prototyping, implementation, and testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

● Continuously research and remain informed about advancements in AI, particularly those pertinent to the

manufacturing industry and software engineering.

● Explore the use of generative AI and reinforcement learning for process optimization, world building and

simulation, human and machine predictive analysis, and human behavior tracking.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and develop system and software requirements,

align AI solutions with business objectives, and integrate AI/ML solutions into manufacturing and business

systems.

● Design, develop, and test the base infrastructure for a company-wide AI development system using 3rd-party

AI technology, including technology selection and integration.

● Design and develop AI-based applications, including front-end behavior, algorithms, and machine learning

models to address specific challenges across the manufacturing industry.

● Develop AI application prototypes for testing and feedback, and resolve issues and optimize the prototypes for

better performance and user experience.

● Utilize frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch to create models for various applications like NLP and

computer vision.

● Train AI and ML models using both gathered and simulated data and selecting the appropriate model

architectures.

● Optimize AI model performance, ensuring efficiency and scalability by making adjustments based on statistical

analysis and data sets.

● Ensure the quality and accuracy of data fed into models, and manage data ingestion and transformation

infrastructure.

● Analyze and preprocess data to guarantee accuracy and reliability in AI solutions, while considering potential

biases, fairness, accountability, and transparency in AI models.

● Oversee AI models from development to deployment and monitor their performance over time.

● Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and robust AI-driven code, while working with large datasets for AI

applications.

● Work within a team of other developers and designers, helping to define and follow software processes, to

participate in code reviews, and to debug software defects.

● Create and maintain technical documentation for AI software systems and mentor team members on their use.

● Present AI concepts, designs, prototypes, and demos to cross-functional teams and management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experiences

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in AI and machine learning technologies.

• Experience with ML/deep learning/neural network frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark/Keras).

• Proficiency in Python and C++ (knowledge of Java, Bash script, or R can help).

• Experience with RESTful API design and development principles.

• Experience with cloud compute services (AWS preferred).

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with software development tools and frameworks, working within a source code control system

with unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration and deployment.

• Knowledge of software engineering principles, including software design for reuse, object-oriented design,

and best practices.

• Understanding of data science concepts and data engineering principles.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively within

a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Bonus Points:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in AI, machine learning, or a related specialization.

• Working knowledge of Large Language Models and Natural Language Processing.

• Working knowledge of Computer/Machine Vision.
