Team Members who encompass the role of OceanClub Concierge & Membership Bartender take the initiative to deliver a unique and memorable experience by providing a wide range of services that makes the transaction feel like a part of an elevated experience for all guests and Members.
A bartender is responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Required Certifications : Both a Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification is required for this position.
Classification : Full Time, Seasonal
Shift : Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Rate : The pay rate for this role is $17.40 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
What will I be doing?
Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, condiments and produce based on projections and forecast
Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and applicable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
Greets guests in a courteous, professional and timely manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages to guests and Members.
Assist with set up of buffet when needed.
Transport food items to and from the kitchen.
Replenish beverages as needed.
Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area.
Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability.
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Record transaction in Point of Sale system at time of order and present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment when applicable.
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout dining experience and/or after each delivery of food and beverage items.
Check guests for proper identification. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
Complete opening and closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations and securing coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
Requisition all necessary supplies, transporting supplies from storeroom to set-up area as required.
All other duties as assigned
County of San Diego Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification are required
