Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Provide engineering analysis/calculations, engineering system design, and professional

AutoCAD work to analyze drawings and calculations.

Lighting

Plan Approval Extension (PAE)

Other Miscellaneous Reviews, as determined by the Electrical Branch Chief

Advanced Activities

Electrical Load Analysis (Other Subchapters besides T/K/M)

Electrical One Line Diagrams (non-T/K/M)

Electrical Switchboard (non-T/K/M)

Emergency Generator and Switchboard (non-T/K/M)

Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEAs)

Design Verification Test Procedures (DVTPs)

Periodic Safety Test Procedures (PSTPs)

Dynamic Positioning (DP) Systems

DP FMEA

DP Proving Trials

DP Operations Manual

Automation

Coordination Studies

Short Circuit Analyses

Novel technologies (i.e. Lithium-ion, Hydrogen fuel, Solar, etc.)

Autonomous Vessels

Qualifications:

· At least 10 years of marine engineering experience

· At least 2 years experience as a supervisor or project manager preferred

· At least five-years, experience in the review and evaluation of commercial vessel design plans or shipyard working experience for compliance with the applicable requirements listed in the references below:

·33 CFR Subchapters N, O

•46 CFR Subchapters D, F, H, I, I-A, J, K, L, M, O, T, U
