Robert Half is looking for an Entry-Level Financial Analyst in the Middlesex County, NJ area. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in monitoring transactions, investigating flagged activities, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed investigations on alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems to identify unusual patterns or potentially suspicious activities.
• Review and analyze client transactional behavior to detect inconsistencies or deviations from expected norms.
• Follow up on flagged transactions, performing due diligence to determine their legitimacy.
• Prepare clear and concise documentation of findings for senior compliance staff or regulatory review.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information related to customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence processes.
• Stay informed about industry regulations and apply them effectively in daily operations.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to remain up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
• Assist the technology team in optimizing transaction monitoring systems for improved performance.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
• Understanding of accounting functions, including accrual accounting and auditing processes.
• Knowledge of budget planning, capital management, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to document findings clearly and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Willingness to participate in training sessions to stay current with industry standards.
• Understanding of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
