Pay: $28.00 - $40.00/hour Commensurate with experience

Schedule/Assignment Length:

• 20 – 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
• ASAP – 3+ months (Strong Potential Foot-in-the-Door)

Company/Overview: Our client, a nonprofit organization fighting against hygiene poverty in Colorado, is seeking a temporary part-time Grant Writer. Reporting the the President and Strategic Lead, the Grant Writer will research, draft, and manage grant proposals that support and advance the organization’s mission across Colorado. This role will be critical in expanding and sustaining the work of the organization. To be successful in this role, you must be an accomplished storyteller with a proven record of researching, writing, and winning grants from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Must be comfortable wearing a mask in the office environment as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft compelling letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and reports
• Collaborate with program and leadership teams to gather information and articulate funding needs
• Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of all grant materials
• Support the development of grant budgets in coordination with the President and Strategic Lead.
• Help build relationships with funders through consistent communication and stewardship
• Research and identify new grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and programming
• Attend and assist with major events and engage with volunteers to gain firsthand insight into programs and impact, helping to inform compelling and accurate grant narratives

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in grant writing, with proven success securing institutional funding
• Excellent written communication and research skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
• Familiarity with hygiene poverty, menstrual equity, education, or public health is a plus
• Experience with Google Workspace, Asana, Bonterra/Every Action, or other CRM and project management systems preferred
