JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, new hire orientation, background checks, drug testing, and general clerical support. Assists with special projects and departmental tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage onboarding and I-9 verification (E-Verify)
- Prepare and conduct New Hire Orientation
- Maintain personnel, payroll, and benefits files
- Assist with background checks and drug testing
- Process Changes of Status and UAF forms
- Scan HR documents into Laserfiche
- Respond to employee service inquiries and distribute faxes
- Support HR initiatives, events, and special projects
- Order and manage office supplies
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of HR records
- Perform periodic HR file audits
- Liaise with benefits providers and vendors
- Assist with payroll functions as needed
- Help coordinate HR events (e.g., open enrollment, employee recognition)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree in a related field is required
- Prior office or HR experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of desk work
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
