VCA Family & Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center is a 24 hour hybrid hospital in BEAUTIFUL Hawai'i!! We have an AMAZING opening for a Veterinary Assistant with our General Practice Team. Compensation: $18 - $24/hour Location: 98-1254 Ka?ahumanu St, Pearl City, HI 96782 Schedule: FT days

4-10 hour shifts

Ideal candidate:

• 2 years' experience in a veterinary hospital setting
• Full-time with flexible availability
• Able to multi-task in a busy environment
• Able to provide excellent client service
• Passionate about patient care
• Team oriented

Skills: Proficient and/or willing to learn

• IV catheter placement and venipuncture
• Anesthesia monitoring and recover
• Set up and assist with procedures
• Appointment management: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoice and patient discharge, prepare and dispense prescriptions, and educate clients.

Physical Requirements:

• Dependable attendance is required.
• Any allergies to animals must be controllable through medication.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions.
• This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-10 hour day.
