Position Overview:

If you love the law, like actually  love it , and can bring order to the chaos of a small, fast-moving litigation firm, you’ll fit right in. You’ll be the detail person, the structure, the one who catches what others miss and builds arguments that hold up.

Key Responsibilities:

● Research case law and synthesize complex legal issues into concise, persuasive writing.
● Draft and refine motions, oppositions, and other pleadings (crafting is valued over filing).
● Analyze discovery materials and understand strategic implications in litigation.
● Collaborate with the principal attorney to develop case theory and written strategy.
● Work in tandem with the firm’s paralegal to ensure seamless case management and calendaring.
● Draft compelling settlement demand packages that combine legal reasoning with storytelling.
● Develop and maintain organizational systems that improve workflow and clarity.
● Proactively follow up on action items and deadlines — without needing to be asked.

Qualifications:

● Prior experience in civil litigation — ideally personal injury.
● Strong command of legal writing and research; able to draft high-quality work independently.
● Comfortable with Dropbox, Slack, and hybrid communication.
● Understanding of civil procedure and discovery strategy preferred.
● JD preferred but not required; experienced paralegals encouraged to apply.
● Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to balance structure with flexibility.
● Thrives in a high-volume, fast-moving practice and can adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
