Role Purpose

As a Lean Process Intern , you’ll gain hands-on experience in process improvement within our airline catering operations. You’ll work closely with various departments to identify ways to make our processes more efficient, reduce waste, and improve day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in school to real-world projects that make a difference. Please note that this position is fully on-site located at 3500 NW 24th St, Miami, FL 33142. The internship begins on June 2nd and ends on August 8th.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with identifying and analyzing opportunities to improve operational processes
  • Work alongside local leadership teams to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Help ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery by observing and suggesting improvements
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for efficiency and productivity
  • Support staff in achieving labor and productivity goals
  • Help document current processes and propose enhancements
  • Ensure safety and food quality standards are being followed
  • Participate in compliance reviews related to FDA, USDA, OSHA, DOT, HACCP, and other regulations
  • Take part in team-building and collaboration activities
  • Perform other tasks as needed to support improvement projects

  • Industrial Technology or Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Business Administration
  • Quality Management
  • Safety
  • Operations Management
  • Interested in continuous improvement practices like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
  • Skilled in analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking
  • A strong communicator who can work well with a team
  • Organized, reliable, and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
  • Comfortable working in different environments (hot/cold areas, production settings)
  • Physically able to move around the facility and assist where needed
  • Flexible with work schedules and eager to take initiative
  • Energetic, curious, and excited to contribute to real improvement projects

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
