Position Overview

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will provide telehealth psychotherapy to an adult caseload under an independent New York State LMHC or LCSW license. All scheduling, intake coordination, and insurance billing are handled by our operations team, allowing clinicians to focus on clinical work. The role begins as fee-for-service and transitions to a salaried position after achieving and maintaining a full caseload.

Core Duties

• Conduct approximately 25–28 telehealth psychotherapy sessions per week once fully ramped
• Complete diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within required timeframes
• Provide evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, ACT, ERP, CPT, or similar modalities)
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
• Track and document clinical outcomes (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, OCI-R) as required
• Collaborate with primary care and psychiatric providers when clinically indicated

Minimum Requirements

• Active New York State LMHC or LCSW license (fully licensed)
• Experience providing psychotherapy to adult clients in an outpatient setting
• Private, secure work-from-home space with reliable high-speed internet
• Ability to pass required New York State background screening

For LMHCs :

• Degree from a CACREP- or MPCAC-accredited program , or
• A 60-credit NYSED licensure-qualifying counseling program

For LCSWs :

• Master of Social Work ( MSW ) from a CSWE-accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in adult outpatient or telehealth settings
• Training or experience with structured, evidence-based treatment approaches
• Fluency in an additional language (e.g., Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Bengali, ASL)

Compensation

• Initial phase (fee-for-service): $60 per clinical session
• Salaried phase: $70,000-$80,000 annually after achieving and maintaining a full caseload

The transition from fee-for-service to salary occurs after caseload stabilization and sustained clinical volume.
