• Assist the pharmacist under their supervision while adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Utilize pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations as per company policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging customers, resolving their queries, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow, fill prescriptions, and verify accuracy, including checking for potential drug interactions and prescription errors.
• Handle transactions efficiently at the cash register and assist customers in locating over-the-counter products.
• Participate in inventory management by assisting in ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, while ensuring compliance with company asset protection protocols.
• Support clinical services by collecting and labeling patient samples and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring that the pharmacy is well-stocked and meets operational standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development by earning and maintaining pharmacy technician certification, and participate in ongoing training to stay updated on industry practices.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends is necessary.
• Preferred experience includes at least six months in a retail setting, with prior experience at Walgreens being advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic math and demonstrate good computer skills is preferred.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification is favored.
