Position Overview: This position will be responsible for assisting the Sr. mechanical engineer in repairing and maintaining testing fixtures for booster products. This position requires basic mechanical design and engineering skills. The person in this role will work closely with cross functional teams including our Mechanical Engineering and Test Engineering departments. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A Day on the Job may Include: - Help Brainstorm design concepts and executes design concepts in all phases of a development cycle
- Assist in the repair of, test fixtures and jigs.
- Assist in testing and modifying fixtures for product testing
- Use basic prototyping skills including 3D printing, milling machine, lathe, drill press, band saw, etc.
- Work with and maintain 3D printer
This job may be for you if you can: - Capable of lifting 30 Lbs.
- Capable of sitting for up to 8 hours a day
- Capable of walking distances
- Capable of walking up several flights of stairs
This job may be for you if you have: - Working on a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Computer skills
- Experience using basic prototyping skills including 3D printing, milling machine, lathe, drill press, band saw, etc.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to address requests, inquiries, problems, and interface effectively with internal customers and vendors or suppliers,
- Must be able to communicate cross-functionally on design directions and requirements
- Can understand and follow corporate policies and procedures
