Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Insomniac Legal Intern to join the legal team in Calabasas, CA. This position will focus on drafting various documents and performing research and analysis. This position reports to Senior Counsel. This is a paid internship and is not a remote position. Responsibilities include learning how laws and regulations are actively applied and implemented in a real-world setting, preparing, reviewing/analyzing, and finalizing transactional documents, analyzing issues pertinent to the development of production and programming, and exposure to applied law while performing general research relating to the business. Qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, currently enrolled in at least second year of Law School, rising 2L or 3L of accredited law school with undergraduate or graduate coursework related to contracts, copyright and entertainment/media law, previous industry experience prior to law school is a plus, typical commitment is 16-29 hours per week, motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude, active problem solver with a sense of urgency, and knowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brands. Work environment requires willingness to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours as required, tolerance of loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates at various event locations, and ability to work in open concept office space.
