General Summary The Rope Access – Technician is responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations under the supervision of an authorized Level 3 supervisor. The technician will use industrial rope access methods and equipment to perform inspection, maintenance, and other industrial tasks in difficult access areas. Responsibilities may include rescue operations, technical reports, and administrative tasks. Work hours, locations, shifts, and travel requirements vary. Essential Job Functions Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices, and alerting others of hazards. Perform duties as assigned, adhering to TEAM’s Core Values and Critical Choices. Use proper personal protective equipment. Follow directions from Rope Access Supervisor or Lead Technician. Respect heights and follow OSHA and safety procedures. Understand work permits and participate in hazard analyses. Participate in training and maintain knowledge of rope access safety practices. Inspect and verify rope access systems before use. Recognize hazards and report unsafe conditions. Maintain proficiency in rescue techniques and assist as directed. Job Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 18 years old. IRATA / SPRAT certification. NDT/NDE certification preferred. Willingness to travel. Ability to work at heights. Work Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather, interaction with crew and clients, working near machinery with noise, wearing safety gear, possible travel, and climate changes. Physical and Mental Requirements Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Perform physical activities like climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping. Work in environments with industrial hazards, extreme temperatures, and heights. Effective communication skills. Mobility and ability to travel. Focus and multitasking ability.
