SAP BASIS - non-HANA




Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, and Solution Manager.
Hands-on experience with SAP system installation, upgrades, and migrations (including OS/DB migrations).
Proficiency in HANA database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
Knowledge of SAP transport management system (TMS) and change control processes.
Experience with SAP security concepts, user administration, and role management.
Familiarity with SAP kernel upgrades, patching, and support package application.
Understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) setups.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for SAP hosting.
Strong troubleshooting skills for performance issues and system errors.
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform SAP system administration including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Manage system performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization.
Handle transport requests, system refreshes, and client copies.
Implement patches, upgrades, and kernel updates as per SAP guidelines.
Ensure system security and compliance with organizational standards.
Coordinate with functional and development teams for issue resolution.
Maintain backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems and databases.
Support disaster recovery drills and ensure high availability.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all Basis activities.
Provide 24x7 support for critical SAP environments as needed.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
Ability to lead a team of SAP Basis administrators and manage workloads.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Project management experience for SAP upgrades and migrations.
Capability to plan and execute system landscapes for large-scale deployments.
Vendor coordination for hardware, software, and cloud services.
