As a Security Officer - Armed Commercial Patrols in New Orleans, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
• Maintain detailed records of observations, incidents, and/or activities during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff at the location, offering assistance as needed.
• Follow all protocols related to carrying and handling firearms in accordance with company and site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required during incidents.
• Remain alert and attentive to changing conditions at the location, adapting response as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
