Job Description

Job Summary: The Senior Security Analyst is responsible for various tasks surrounding the IT security of RWJBH from building alerts generated from our security platforms, to managing the security tools and systems, as well as participating sessions related to troubleshoot issues around the implementation of our security tools with the end user. In addition, the senior security analyst will assist in our monthly purple team exercises and help to educate our junior staff to broaden their ability to work alerts and troubleshoot issues. Job Requirements: Associates degree Minimum of five years of experience is required in cyber security Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security desired; 3-4 years of experience may be substituted for degree preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Minimum: SANS Training/Certification in Red Team preferred Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GPEN, certification, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) CompTIA Security+ and Network+ Essential Functions: Adaptability/flexibility: demonstrating flexibility with respect to changing end-user business needs. Critical thinking: the ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible. Interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and subject matter experts; the ability to gain trust and establish effective relationships with Epic counterparts. Learning: the ability and willingness to learn new software and systems. Listening: listening attentively to ensure that the intended message has been accurately received, holding responses until the person has finished making their point, and repeating information to ensure accuracy. Problem solving: seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence.
