Staff Accountant
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Staff Accountant to oversee our client's accounting operations while actively contributing to day-to-day financial activities. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys both detailed accounting work and higher-level financial management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
-Oversee general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
-Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
-Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
-Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
-Partner with external auditors, tax preparers, and banking partners.
-Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
-Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
-3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level or supervisory capacity.
-Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
-Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
-Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
