Merus is seeking a Senior/Principal Biostatistician with a strong background in statistics and relevant experience in clinical trials to join our team. Reporting to a Senior Director of Biostatistics, you will play a key role in our clinical development activities, leading statistical aspects of clinical trials from design to analysis, ensuring high-quality data to support our programs. Your Role As a Senior Biostatistician at Merus, you will be responsible for all statistical aspects of clinical trials, ensuring robust methodologies and analyses aligned with scientific objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and oversee CROs to deliver high-quality statistical outputs. Areas Of Responsibility Serve as the lead statistician for at least one clinical study, providing strategic input from design to analysis. Collaborate on study design, including sample size, randomization, endpoints, and case report form design. Develop and oversee Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) ensuring regulatory compliance. Manage CRO deliverables, ensuring accuracy and quality of statistical outputs. Build collaborative relationships within the clinical team and with external vendors. Provide statistical support throughout all phases of clinical trial and project development, including clinical study reports. Your Profile Candidates should have an advanced degree in statistics or related field, with relevant experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO. Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R), strong communication skills, and knowledge of statistical principles in a regulatory environment are essential. Requirements Master’s degree in statistics or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in clinical trial analysis. Expertise in statistical analysis within clinical research, oncology experience is a plus. Familiarity with ICH, GCP, CDISC standards and regulations. Proficiency in SAS, R, or similar software.
