You will play an integral role in shaping content production for South Coast Plaza’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You will contribute to showcasing the breadth and uniqueness of South Coast Plaza’s offerings that have helped define the global luxury shopping experience with extraordinary boutiques from the most sought-after brands to award-winning dining and entertainment, and enhance visitor engagement through innovative, fun, engaging, and educational content.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Research, write, photograph, film and produce content for South Coast Plaza’s social media channels, including, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Strategize ideas based on store openings, events, social media trends and more in tandem with the Social Media Director and team.
  • Work across platforms to identify and engage with creators to engage fashion lovers, shoppers, diners and more across the globe.
  • Shoot video and photography on iPhone, DSLR and/or mirrorless camera and be comfortable with using microphones, gimbal, ring light, and other associated equipment.
  • Oversee daily community management across all platforms and work closely with marketing team to manage inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Stellar organization and time management skills with an ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing analytics reports.
  • Contribute to larger projects as needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Seeking at least two years of social media experience in digital media or marketing
  • Experience navigating and engaging with social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. Ability to quickly edit videos in Cap Cut.
  • Strategic planning abilities to develop platform-specific content for social media 
  • Strong communication skills: comfortable talking to boutique directors and staff when coordinating shoots.
  • Strong copywriting, grammar and editing skills
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Basic photo and video editing skills
  • Motivated self-starter, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to juggle concurrent projects
  • Display diplomacy and discretion with sensitive industry news. We work on long lead times with new brands arriving at the shopping center who may not yet have announced to press.

Salary: $58,000-$62,000 DOE
