Little Blue Valley Sewer District , a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for environmental excellence.

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR ASSISTANT

Salary Range: $63,771/yr – $95,657 /yr

Starting Salary DOQ

 

• Associate degree, or equivalent; one-year related experience and/or training.


• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for education requirement provided employee achieves CompTIA A+ Certification within one year and CompTIA Network+ within two years.


• Work closely with/assist Systems Administrator.


• Knowledge of/experience working with firewall systems, surveillance systems, file servers, desktops, laptops, LAN/WAN and WiFi hardware, VPN’s, cybersecurity and remote cellular connections.


• Knowledge of/experience working with hosted financial application services, phone & voicemail systems, external websites, MS Office 365, access control systems.


• Assist with supporting and configuring cybersecurity.


• Available to work extended hours when necessary for emergencies or when systems are inoperable and require continued efforts. Available for call-in to assist with problem resolution, both nights & weekends.


• Able to work alone, unassisted, or as a member of a crew.


• Must currently possess & maintain valid driver’s license & driving record satisfactory to policy.

 

Typical workweek is Mon-Fri, days.

Salary, exempt, non-union, full-time.
