Job Description

Role: Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist

Location: Tallahassee, FL - 32399 (Onsite with Hybrid role)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years technical writing experience
Prior work with cybersecurity or IT governance documentation preferred
Experience developing SSPs, playbooks, SOPs, diagrams, and compliance documentation

Roles & Responsibilities:

Produce clean, audit-ready documentation including SSPs, policy documents, governance workflows, procedures, risk register updates, and audit responses.
Convert complex technical and cybersecurity information into clear, easy-to-understand writing.
Create diagrams, charts, and visual aids to represent security processes, data flows, and dependency relationships.
Ensure consistency in formatting, versioning, terminology, and structure across all DEP deliverables.
Work closely with SMEs to translate findings into high-quality written materials.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, Lucidchart)
Ability to standardize documentation across multiple contributors
Strong grasp of cybersecurity terminology and frameworks
