Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery RN with a DC RN license and at least 2 years of recent L&D experience for a night shift position.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a teaching hospital
- Level 1 Trauma Center with 228 staffed beds
- Night shifts are 4x12 hours from 19:30 to 08:00
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
- Floating within hospital or to an affiliate hospital as needed
- Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Uses Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos EMR systems
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Return staff must have a 1-year separation before being reconsidered
- Restricted to one request for time off during contract
- Work in a supportive team environment at a large teaching facility
- Parking is available for a fee or use public transportation near the Shaw/Howard University Metro station

- Active DC RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Two supervisor references required
- Not open to candidates with pending licenses
