- Hours/Week: 36 guaranteed
- Schedule Notes: Must have open availability per CoreCivic Scheduling Policy
- Start Day: Tuesday
- Fingerprinting: Completed on first day
- U.S. Citizenship & SSN required for facility clearance
- License: Active Ohio LPN License (or compact state eligible)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license
- Experience: Correctional or acute care experience preferred
Job Description The Licensed Practical Nurse provides routine and emergency nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician within the correctional setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Administer medications, operate pill call, and assist with sick call and exams
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
- Monitor and report inmate health conditions and behaviors
- Assist with emergency procedures and inventory control
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards within the medical unit
- Support compliance with NCCHC/ACA accreditation standards
