HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum for a travel nursing job in Largo, Maryland.

Job Position: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Location:Largo, MD 20774
Duration: 18 weeks
Shift: Night – 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:30 – 08:00)
Weekends: Every Other Weekend (EOW) Required

 

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum Experience Required: 1 year in Labor & Delivery
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Travel Experience: Required
• Preferred Experience:
  • Charge nurse experience
  • Teaching hospital
  • Community hospital
  • Trauma Level I or II
  • Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)

Certifications:

• Required:
  • BLS (AHA only)
  • NRP (AAP or NRP only)
  • STABLE
• Preferred:
  • CPI (Calm Every Storm online version)

License:

• Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of submission

References:

• 2 professional references from most recent employers
  • 1 must be a supervisor/manager
  • 1 can be a charge RN

Skills

Clinical Skills:

• IV Therapy / Phlebotomy
• Administering blood & blood products
• Central line maintenance (CVC / PICC)
• Starting & maintaining IVs
• Infusion pumps, drips, IV monitoring
• Use of Epic charting system (preferred)

Labor & Delivery Management:

• Assist with vaginal delivery
• Circulate for C-sections
• Hemorrhage/shock management
• Recover C-section patients
• Sterile vaginal exams

Postpartum Care:

• Post Cesarean section
• Post vaginal delivery

Pain Management:

• Epidural anesthesia
• Pain assessment & use of PCA (IV)

Antepartum Care:

• Triage obstetric patients
• Use of external fetal monitoring (EFM)

Medication Administration:

• Magnesium sulfate therapy
• Pitocin (oxytocin)
• Insulin drips
