Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU telemetry position requiring EPIC experience and a current FL or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Provides care for telemetry patients with a 1:5 nurse-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Requires every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, determined by unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to other PCU units or locations within the health system
• Uses EPIC EMR; experience required
• Primary responsibility is caring for PCU patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Floating may include assignments at Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera locations
• Any color scrubs allowed, but tops and bottoms must match; no logos or prints
• Free parking is provided with a decal at orientation
• Timekeeping is managed via Kronos with badge swipe
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Must provide two professional references from authority figures within the past year
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Candidates must have a one-year gap since any previous contracted employment with the health system
