This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Here at UNFI we do our best work by embracing the power of team, never giving up and knowing that we make a difference.Job Responsibilities:- Receive orders, identify the pick locations and safely pick the items at the established rate- Build stable and well cubed pallets.- Safely operate pallet jacks and push carts.- Ability to learn and perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.- Inspects assigned jack for safety issues.- Enters the proper information into the productivity measure.- Identifies the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance to the order.- Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC?s or item descriptions. - Places pick labels on the side of the cases.Position Requirements:- Previous Warehouse/Selecting experience strongly preferred.- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.Physical Requirements:- Lifting objects weighing up to 100 lbs. consistently.- Occasionally pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping.Knowledge: - Understanding of Safety guidelines- Strong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systemsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
