Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Schedule: 7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week (37.5 hours/week)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $2,250 to $2,335 Weekly
We are seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technologist with 0–2 years of experience to join our radiology team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with regulations. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:Operate and oversee radiologic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Prepare and position patients for imaging, applying appropriate immobilization and radiation protection techniques.
Explain procedures to patients to ease anxieties and ensure cooperation.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
Maintain image quality and document exam details in patient and departmental records.
Perform equipment maintenance and report malfunctions.
Ensure cleanliness and infection control within the imaging area.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T) by New York State Dept. of Health
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
0–2 years of experience in radiologic technology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to safety, quality control, and patient-centered care
Professional, dependable, and a team player
Competency in diagnostic imaging procedures
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining a safe and clean environment
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting
