About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to take ownership of our accounting function — starting with building a clean, efficient AR/AP process and maintaining accurate books. This role will evolve over time into higher-level financial management and strategic decision-making as the company continues to grow.

You’ll be the foundation of our finance operations: ensuring invoices go out on time, payments are accurate, books stay clean, and leadership has the financial clarity to make smart, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable

  • Build and manage a structured AR/AP process, including invoice approval workflows, billing schedules, and collections tracking.

  • Oversee vendor payments, customer invoicing, and bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients to ensure payment timeliness and accuracy.

  • Implement automation tools (QuickBooks Online and WareLink, our proprietary software) to increase efficiency.

General Accounting

  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

  • Perform account reconciliations and journal entries.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Coordinate with external CPAs for tax filings, audits, and annual reporting.

Financial Management

  • Track cash flow and assist in building forecasts.

  • Maintain budgets and monitor variance reporting.

  • Provide management with accurate and timely financial insights.

  • Support cost analysis and margin reporting by client or department.

Strategic Growth (Future Scope)

  • Develop internal controls and process documentation.

  • Partner with leadership to identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Evolve into a Controller or Director of Finance role as the company scales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 4–8 years of accounting experience (including AR/AP, GL, and financial reporting).

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software).

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial modeling or reporting tools.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience in logistics, consulting, or service-based industries preferred.

  • CPA or CMA certification a plus but not required.
