Pipe Welder (MIG & TIG) - $20-24/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team, responsible for assembling and installing hydraulic components and systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the proper alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install hydraulic components and systems according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
• Ensure proper alignment and positioning of hydraulic hoses, cylinders, pumps, valves, and reservoirs.
• Test and troubleshoot newly assembled systems for leaks and performance issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system malfunctions and implement effective repairs.
• Conduct quality control checks on hydraulic systems to ensure they meet industry standards and company quality specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on hydraulic system improvements and design changes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with hydraulic systems, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hydraulic fluids.
• Maintain an organized inventory of hydraulic components, ensuring an adequate supply of parts and materials for repairs.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, valves, and mechanical components.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with MIG and TIG welding equipment.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse that is not temperature-controlled. The facility features large fans, with more being installed. Employees may be required to lift up to 70 lbs and engage in activities such as kneeling, stooping, and bending. Occasionally, work may occur outside. The workshop conditions include exposure to shop noise, dust, fumes, and heat.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
