As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you’ll lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments. This is a hands-on engineering role—not a developer position—ideal for professionals who thrive in delivery-focused environments and enjoy solving complex security challenges.
️ Responsibilities
Architect and deploy secure cloud infrastructure and applications (AWS/Azure)
Develop automation tools to accelerate cloud security initiatives
Collaborate with Security Operations teams to implement SIEM, SOAR, and XDR solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues across dev/test/prod environments
Ensure compliance with frameworks like NIST, HIPAA, SOX, PCI, CMMC, and more
Implement zero-trust architecture in cloud environments
Engage with state/local government clients and travel as needed
✅ Required Skills
5–10 years in Information Security and Engineering
Proven experience designing and maintaining AWS/Azure infrastructure
Expertise in cloud security operations and automation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in documenting security tools, configurations, and incident reports
⭐ Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series Firewalls (AWS/Azure)
Familiarity with Prisma Cloud, Forescout, Cisco Umbrella, F5 Load Balancers
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Must hold AWS or Azure certification Preferred: CISSP, SC100 (Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect), AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect, Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer, PCNSA, PCNSE
