Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow removal Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal from various surfaces, including roads, parking lots, and walkways. This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience with snow plowing equipment, as well as a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices.

• Must pass background check and security vetting for base access.
• Reliable transportation to and from Hill AFB.

Duties

• Operate snow plow equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on snow plowing machinery and hand tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of snow removal operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Engage in additional tasks such as irrigation system maintenance, gardening, and tree care as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in snow plowing or related fields such as construction or landscape maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery including excavators.
• Familiarity with horticulture practices and landscape maintenance techniques is preferred.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours during winter months, including early morning as in case of snowfall it may need to be cleared before 6am and weekends if necessary.
