About the Role & Team:

run Disney engages Guests of all ages through a running lifestyle, culminating with events delivered in a way that could only happen at Disney. run Disney is the single endurance brand for the Walt Disney Company. The Events & Services team is responsible for the planning and execution of run Disney Race Weekends. This role has the unique opportunity to work on Communications that are property wide and viewed by our run Disney guests. Through careful planning and attention to detail this team ensures our guests have a truly valuable experience.

This is an hourly Full Time role reporting to the Walt Disney World run Disney Team, part of the Sports Events & Services organization.

What You Will Do:

This position will work closely with Sport Event Managers to partner with various lines of business to ensure a seamless end to end Guest experience. Additionally, the role will support the design and approval of race staff credentials, assist in the development of a Guest and Cast Communication plan that includes printed collateral and digital Guest facing material and provide on-site support at the Information Tent during the run Disney event weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and comfortable working independently on tasks
  • Collaborate with WDW Resort partners for signage needs and creation as it relates to impacts during runDisney event weekends
  • Responsible for the creation of all event credentials that range from Safety Cards, Medical Credentials for Advent Health, Race Support, Start/Finish Line Access, Exhibitors and Staff
  • Provide hands-on assistance during runDisney event weekends, including staffing the Information Tent and ensuring a seamless experience for participants and Guests
  • Submit procurement requests for the Events and Services Team, assembly of a mass volume of credentials, Roster creation and assembly of event supplies
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners, Cast Members, and vendors

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail to ensure all projects align with brand guidelines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Must have ability to adapt quickly and proactively to evolving events, and to thrive in an extremely fast paced and high-pressure working environment
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid and current U.S. Driver’s License: some driving required to and from events and sometimes in a company vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, Smartsheet, haku and box
  • Prior Project or Sports Management Experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle Guest situations

Required Education :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Preferred Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Sports Management, Communications, Marketing, or relevant, qualifying experience
