Assists the Head Teacher in providing a quality care program to the children and families. Leads classroom in Head Teacher's absence. Qualifications include 12 units of Child Development/Early Childhood Education courses (education in progress can be considered), preferred Children's Center Permit or Associate's degree, and six months experience working with children in a group setting. Must be registered with CA Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division, including background check, valid California Driver's License/ID, Live Scan fingerprints, and fees provided by Kaweah Health. Responsibilities include supervising classroom of toddler/preschool or infant age children, planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, maintaining a safe and clean environment, serving meals and modeling good eating habits, performing hygiene tasks, attending meetings and events, using positive guidance techniques, and other duties as assigned.
